Bill DunahooBill Dunahoo
President
A principal and co-founder of Praxis Engineering, Mr. Dunahoo is President and leads the Executive Management Team. In this role, he is responsible for the overall strategic direction and management of Praxis’ Business Units. Mr. Dunahoo has over 26 years of experience in the software and systems services focused on providing solutions to the Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense.  Prior to founding Praxis, Mr. Dunahoo worked in various capacities as a software and systems engineer.  He began his career as an independent consultant 16 years ago and co-founded another successful software consulting firm in 1995.

Mr. Dunahoo has a BS in Computer Science from the University of Maryland College Park. He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors and a former Past-President of the AFCEA Central Maryland Chapter.



Mark KleinMark Klein
Executive Vice President
A principal and co-founder of Praxis Engineering, Mr. Klein currently serves on the Executive Management Team as Executive Vice President. In this role, he is responsible for the direction and management of Praxis’ internal operations group. Mr. Klein has over 31 years of diverse experience in the Intelligence Community to include serving as a linguist and analyst in the United States Army, to software engineering, program management, and senior executive management in private industry.

Mr. Klein has a BS in Information Systems Management/Computer Science from the University of Maryland University College, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI). Mr. Klein is an armed services veteran, having served in the United States Army where he received the Army Commendation and Joint Service Commendation Medals for meritorious service.


JeremyJeremy Kaufman
Vice President Technologies, Solutions & IP
Mr. Kaufman is a co-founder of Praxis Engineering. He currently serves as a member of the Executive Management Team and as Vice President of Technology.  In this role, Mr. Kaufman is responsible for leading Praxis Engineering’s solutions and intellectual property development activities, setting the technical focus of the company, and leading the Praxis Engineering Center of Excellence.  Mr. Kaufman has 21 years experience developing and fielding solutions and systems for the Government across a very diverse set of problem domains.  Mr. Kaufman’s prior positions include Program Manager and Technical Lead responsible for all Embedded and Software-Defined Radio programs.

Mr. Kaufman has a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University and an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.  Mr. Kaufman has also served as a faculty member at University of Maryland Baltimore County.



JerryJerry Schepers
Vice President Sales & Marketing
Mr. Schepers joined Praxis Engineering as Vice President of Sales and Marketing in 2004. He serves as a member of the Executive Management Team leading all business development, strategic relationship, and marketing activities. Mr. Schepers has over 25 years of diverse industry experience including senior management roles focused on both Government and Commercial business sectors. Prior to joining Praxis, Mr. Schepers served as Director of Federal Sales at Information Builders, Inc and prior to that spent over 9 years at Rational Software where he last served as Area Sales Manager for the eastern United States SMB market.

Mr. Schepers has a BS in Computer Science from the University of Maryland and an MS in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins where he has served as adjunct professor for the past 18 years.



PaulPaul Larsen
Director DoD & Special Programs
Mr. Larsen has been with Praxis Engineering since its founding, and is the Director of Praxis Engineering’s DoD and Special Programs Business Unit and Strategic Markets Business Unit. His past roles include Program Manager, Technical Task Lead, Software Architect, Database Designer and Engineer. He has over 22 years of systems development experience and has been successful in government contracting, consulting, and commercial software development. Mr Larsen has extensive experience in the areas of: software design and development, systems integration, airborne systems, agile development, QRC activities, mentoring and training, tactical SIGINT systems, multi-INT fusion, geospatial technologies, and database development.

Mr. Larsen has a BS in Computer Science from McKendree University and is an armed services veteran, having served in the USAF.


QQuentin Smith
Director Collect & Protect Programs
Mr. Smith joined Praxis Engineering in late 2003. Presently, Mr. Smith serves as the Director of the Collect and Protect Programs Business Unit. He and his staff are responsible for business capture through delivery across a range of technologies and contract types. He has over 23 years experience in the U.S. Defense and Intelligence sectors. Prior to joining Praxis, Mr. Smith held leadership positions responsible for strategy and development for units of General Dynamics and Motorola. Before this, he served in various roles with Communications Systems Technologies, Inc., culminating in a Vice-President position and serving on its Board of Directors. Mr. Smith began his professional employment at HRB Singer. His career has focused on direct involvement with the engineering and managing of the design and development of software, hardware and systems.

Mr. Smith has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University and an MS in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. He has also completed the mini-MBA program at Stanford University.



JimJim Stock
Director Infrastructure Solutions Programs
Mr. Stock has been with Praxis Engineering since its inception in 2002. He is currently serving as Director of the Infrastructure Solutions Programs Business Unit. He is responsible for all aspects of the business unit, to include program and project management, business development, retention and recruiting, and oversees all personnel, technical, fiscal and administrative execution. Mr. Stock has also served for 6+ years as a management and operational consultant for an ITD, X413 project. Mr. Stock has 24 years of technical and management experience. He was previously a Director at ADC Telecommunications, a Project Manager and Sr. Software Engineer at BTG, Inc, and PAR Technology.

Mr. Stock has a BS in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh and is a certified Project Management Institute (PMI), Project Management Professional (PMP).



CharlieCharlie Duren
Director of Strategic Markets
Mr. Duren joined Praxis Engineering in 2009 as the Director of Strategic Markets. He and his staff are responsible for customer success and business growth in the markets of Northern Virginia and Washington DC. Their primary focus is on the National Level Intelligence and Law Enforcement Agencies. Prior to joining Praxis Engineering, Mr. Duren was the Vice President of Global Education and North American Professional Services for Pitney Bowes Software. He has over 25 years of experience in intelligence analysis, information and weapons system development, and program management. Mr. Duren has performed as a Senior Signals Analyst, Independent Verification and Validation System Engineer, SETA Chief Engineer for a large scale ERP program, and professional services manager and executive.

Mr. Duren has a BS in Computer and Information Science from the University of Maryland University College, is a retired US Air Force veteran with over twenty years of service, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI).



Kathy BauerKathy Bauer
Security Manager
Mrs. Bauer joined Praxis Engineering as Security Manager in March 2006. She is responsible for effectively executing all aspects of our company’s security and serves as a security expert providing personnel, physical, and AIS security to selected Government sponsored programs and special purpose facilities in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP).

Prior to joining Praxis, Mrs. Bauer managed white-collar crime cases for the Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office, after which she served as a credentialed Special Agent/Counterintelligence Investigator for the Department of Defense. Mrs. Bauer has managed both large and small security departments and has over 20 years of experience in Facility and Industrial Security Management, Investigation, Administration, Program Management, Sales and Marketing.

Mrs. Bauer has BS in Criminal Justice from University of Maryland University College and earned her Industrial Security Professional Certification from the National Classification Management Society. She is certified as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) from Defense Security Service as well as a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) and Communications Security Custodian Official.


Kristen BellDebbie Mobley
Human Resources Manager
Ms. Mobley joined Praxis Engineering in June 2010. She has worked with a series of rapidly growing businesses specializing in high technology and engineering services. She started and managed the Human Resources departments for numerous rapidly growing companies, assuming responsibility for developing the infrastructure while planning for the strategic evolution of the HR function.

Ms. Mobley has over 25 years of experience providing consulting services and directing human resources activities. She has developed technology expertise, communication, and problem solving skills across various functional areas including recruitment, benefits, compensation, EEO/AAP, training and development, coaching and employee relations, performance management, risk management, payroll, and operations.

Ms. Mobley is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management, AFCEA, Women In Intelligence Group, ACE HR Group, Carroll County SHRM and the Howard County Human Resources Society (Chair of Professional Development). She holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Loyola College where she graduated with honors.



Shawn BerryShawn Berry
Finance Manager
Ms. Berry has been with Praxis Engineering since its founding and currently serves as the Finance and Accounting Manager. Ms. Berry has over 25 years of experience in Finance and Accounting including 16 years with Marriott Corporation and its’ affiliates serving as Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis of the In-Flite division. Ms. Berry attended the University of Maryland and is expert in the use of several cost accounting software packages including Deltek FMS. Ms. Berry has been the recipient of several awards including one for the design and implementation of custom Forecast Manager software used by Marriott subsidiaries in over 25 countries.


Mike SchepersMike Schepers
IT Manager
Mr. Schepers joined Praxis Engineering in 2004 as the Manager of Information Technologies. Mr. Schepers has over 20 years of diverse industry experience including senior management roles focused on both private and public sector businesses. Most recently, Mr. Schepers was the Site Manager responsible for all IT operations for LogSec Corporation, and prior to that spent 8 years at CIENA Corporate where he served as the Director of IT Infrastructure for their global operations spanning 47 locations, internationally.

Mr. Schepers has a BS in Computer Science from the University of Maryland and several technical industry certifications; including CCNP, CCDP, and MCSE.



Lisa DavidLisa David
Contracts Manager
Ms. David joined Praxis Engineering in September 2008 and serves as the Manager of the Contracts Department. In this role, Ms. David is responsible for overall contract management of Praxis’ federal and commercial contracts, including contract negotiation, proposal preparation, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements and federal regulations.

Ms. David has over 25 years of experience in Government Contracting focusing on Contracts/Subcontracts, Finance/Accounting, Procurement and Pricing. Her extensive experience includes 16 years as a Business Operations Director with a large System Integrator working on Civilian and DOD programs. In her most recent assignment, Ms. David successfully directed a staff of 25+ contract and finance personnel performing business management functions for a large, complex EVM based DOD program.

She is a member of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) and has extensive knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). Ms. David attended the University of Maryland and has received numerous certifications during her 25 year career.
